Once you make the photographs, spend hours thinking about them, looking at them, editing them and writing about them, it’s time to start the journey of getting your images out into the world. As an emerging artist you will apply to many juried shows and portfolio reviews. As you move through your career the kinds of shows you apply to will change. You may apply to fewer show opportunities, but target specific ones with jurors you want to get in front of or that you think will like your work. You will also begin to apply for other kinds of opportunities like grants to support new work, residencies for concentrated time to make a new project and publications to talk about your work.
Along the way PhotoWorkflo will be there to support you, provide organization and a base for tracking your submissions. We wanted to give you a list of great places to start looking for opportunities. Let us know if you have others we should include in this list!
